Hunting Trip with My Bro

Yesterday, I went rabbit hunting with my brother Skyler. We had a bunch of fun walking thorough the woods looking for prospective "dinners." Although we were not successful securing any game (the armadillo Skyler killed did NOT count), we really enjoyed ourselves! :-) I really enjoyed learning the ins and outs of rabbit hunting!

My sweet brother kindly allowed me to borrow his ALERT BDUs and a pair of combat boots. They were fun to wear, but I don't for see them becoming a staple in my wardrobe! :)

What have ya'll been up to?

A very merry Christmas to all of you! Love you!!

48 Things I Learned at EXCEL

Today I was thinking about all the things I learned at EXCEL; I decided to make a list. Soooo, here it is:

  1. Two months isn't nearly as long as it seems
  2. God really does answer prayer
  3. EIC is totally not worth stressing over, and if you do stress, it renders you incapable of getting anything accomplished. (Do I hear any "amens?")
  4. You can make friends really fast when you realize you're going to be with eachother for 2 months
  5. Vitamin C + prayer (lots) = staying healthy
  6. Good and evil run on parallel tracks, and they usually arrive at about the same time
  7. It is actually possible to climb 4 flights of stairs in a minute and a half :b
  8. Listen CAREFULLY to instructions. They do come in handy.
  9. Oh my goodness, NEVER EVER forget your name tag!!! That one seemed a little hard to learn. (Quit laughing Rachael)
  10. It's a good idea to not leave your key in the door. After all, you never know who's lurking around....
  11. You never know when you are being interviewed
  12. My DISC personality is C/I
  13. Wimpy theology makes wimpy women
  14. Keep calm and carry on

  16. Always keep your room in a presentable state (including the drawers)
  17. Breakfast on Monday is the best event of the day :)

  27. You will not surely die if you must rise at 6:00 am every morning for 2 months
  28. Be a thinker, not a learner
  29. Feelings do not = truth
  30. "You will know the TRUTH, and the truth will set you free."
  31. It's very enjoyable to sing the "Star Spangled Banner" in 3-part harmony after lights out
  32. Be real!
  33. God is El Shaddai - My Almighty God and all sufficient, tender Lover
  34. The meanings of the words coruscate, laconic, and a whole bunch of others that I can't remember at the moment :)
