Well, following off of Baylie's post, I picked one word. Change. Such a small word that has beenhaving a big impact on me.
It started about a month or so before Christmas when my cousin and his amazing fiancé decided to move their wedding date up from 2 years from now to about a week before Christmas, and before he went on active duty. That is a change I can handle. In fact, it's a great change! So we were getting ready for the fantabulous wedding when 2 weeks before Christmas, my life changed.
It started with my sister passing out on the kitchen floor (she is doing much better now thank God!), then my uncle announced he was going to marry his girlfriend, my dad got sick, and my cousin got married...all in one week. One at a time I might be able to handle, but all together brought me to ground zero. But that's the amazing thing about our God. He's got a plan for it all. My ground zero was His building block.
My cousin and his newlywed wife are living in Montana now (before he heads off for the military), my sister is still sick (but doing better), and my uncle is still engaged. All of these things are new for me...new is hard for me to get used to. But with change, comes God's grace and His strength to embrace the change. So my word for this year: Change.
I purpose to accept the change that God gives me whether difficult or easy, I choose to accept it...with God's strength. Who knows what lies ahead, but this I know. With Chirst, all things are possible. (Even changing things)
"Fantabulous"... I liketh it! :-)
